YOUR RETREAT BEGINS IN THE

DARK ROOM

A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE OF SENSORY REST AND SELF-INTIMACY

A green chrysalis suspended inside an ornate gold frame with intricate patterns, set against a dark background.

In a world of constant motion, the Dark Room invites you to stop.

To soften into stillness.
To step out of doing, and simply be.

This is not an escape —
but a return.

A return to the womb of silence, where the nervous system rests
and the soul remembers itself.

Like a cocoon, the darkness holds you in sacred stillness —
not to numb or hide,
but to dissolve the noise
and allow the subtle to emerge.

Inside, there are no reflections.
No roles to play.

Only the steady rhythm of your breath,
the quiet murmur of being.

And in that fertile stillness...

something begins to bloom,
you begin to remember who you are.

WHAT IS A DARK ROOM RETREAT?

A Dark Room Retreat is a unique opportunity to disconnect from external stimulation and reconnect with yourself.

You spend time in complete darkness — without screens, light, or distractions. Supported by a private, fully darkened space, you’re invited to rest deeply, meditate, reflect, or simply be. Meals are delivered in silence through a light-proof system, and optional support is available if needed.

There’s no schedule. No outer demands. Just stillness, silence, and space to remember what lives beneath the surface.

In the absence of light, the mind turns inward — and what was once hidden begins to shine.

– Tibetan saying

Many guests describe the retreat as a nervous system reset, a turning point, or a gentle gateway to profound clarity.

Whether you’re an experienced meditator or just beginning, the darkness meets you where you are — with honesty, compassion, and depth.

SUPPORTING YOUR JOURNEY

While the Dark Room meets you exactly where you are, gentle guidance can help you prepare more fully and integrate more deeply.

Our experienced meditation teachers are here to support you before and after your retreat, so you can enter with clarity and emerge with grounded understanding.

PREPARATION SESSION

Our Preparation Session is a 1hr 30min private meeting with an experienced meditation teacher. It’s a space to slow down, set your intention, and learn practical tools for navigating the days ahead.

You’ll receive simple techniques to meet whatever arises in the dark — from restlessness to deep stillness — and tips to make your time more comfortable and easeful. Many guests say this session allows them to enter the dark with clarity, confidence, and an open heart. (1,500.00 MXN)

INTEGREATION SESSION

When you emerge from the retreat, the Integration Session offers a gentle landing. In this 1hr conversation with the same teacher (or another equally experienced guide), you’ll have the chance to reflect on your journey, explore the insights you’ve touched, and discover ways to carry them into everyday life.

This process helps you stay connected to the peace and clarity you found inside. (1,000.00 MXN)

To feel fully supported on your journey, you may choose to combine both sessions - one before and one after your retreat - creating a complete circle of guidance. (2,000.00 MXN)

CONFESSIONS OF THE DARKROOM

Every journey into the Dark Room is deeply personal - and yet, there’s a common thread: the quiet transformation that happens when step away from the world and into ourselves.

These are the words of those who have walked into the darkness, met what was there, and emerged changed. Some speak of profound peace, others of deep clarity, and many of a love they had never known before.

May their experiences offer you a glimpse of what is possible when you say yes to the stillness.

“The dark room showed me that our deepest fears are often our deepest revelation to love.”
— Phoebe, USA
“Only in absolute darkness will you find your own light. And only in absolute silence will you hear your own voice.”
— Alessandra, Canada
“There was this moment where there was an experience of the body outline basically disappearing... I could have been everywhere in this darkness.”
— Dominik, Mexico

The Dark Room is not a place to achieve. It’s a space to lay everything down. To reset. To return to the simplicity of being.

Whether you come for clarity, healing or deep presence… you will emerge changed. Not because something was added, but because everything unnecessary was let go.

Come as you are.

Stay in the dark.

Emerge with new eyes.
